Historical Uses:
Internally, Thyme preparations have been used in the treatment of cough, whooping cough, dyspepsia and stomach disorders.1 In Germany, people use Thyme for the treatment of the symptoms of bronchitis, whooping cough and catarrh.2 As a vermifuge, it has been employed to expel worms and parasites.1 Thyme is known to be an effective antiseptic and is said to be useful in the prevention of tooth decay.3

Contraindications:
Avoid in cases of liver or kidney disease.

Adverse reactions:
Avoid excessive consumption.

Dosage:
20 to 40 drops after meals. As a gargle, 1 tablespoon per cup of water.
