Historical Uses:
Skunk Cabbage has been used in traditional medicine as an antispasmodic to treat nervous conditions, such as anxiety, epilepsy, spasms, hysteria and Parkinson's disease.1,2 It has also been employed in the treatment of asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough, hay fever, tuberculosis and other respiratory complaints.1 Skunk Cabbage is also said to be useful in dropsy and rheumatism.1 Externally, it has been applied on painful areas and on the head in cases of headaches.2

Contraindications:
None.

Adverse reactions:
Avoid excessive use.

Dosage:
40 to 80 drops after meals. Apply externally as needed.
