Historical Uses:
Nettle has been used in traditional medicine as a diuretic, antispasmodic, expectorant and in the treatment of asthma.1 It has also been employed in cases of rheumatism and prostate enlargement leading to urinary difficulties.2 Nettle is said to be useful in the treatment of bladder inflammation, dizziness, spleen and lymphatic problems, liver and blood problems such as seborrhea, eczema and psoriasis.3 Nettle cleans the lymph and promotes toxin elimination. It is also reputed to restore hair color and to promote weight loss.3 Nettle provides a marvelous antiseptic service and is a good skin toner. Nettle extract is sometimes used as an after-shave and as a facial.3

None.

Adverse reactions:
None.

Dosage:
40 drops three to four times per day. To promote weight loss take 40 to 80 drops three to four times per day. For hair, massage the extract nightly into the scalp.
