Historical Uses:
Feverfew has a long history of use in traditional and folk medicine, especially among Greek and early European herbalists to treat fever, migraine headaches and rheumatic inflammations.1 It has also been used in cases of sluggish menstrual flow and to treat congestive dysmenorrhea, asthma, dermatitis and arthritis.2

Contraindications:
Avoid during pregnancy. Not recommended for lactating mothers or children under the age of two.

Adverse reactions:
Long-term use may produce mouth ulcers.

Dosage:
10 to 40 drops three times per day. Additionally, apply as needed to the spine, back of the neck, around the ears and down the neck out to the shoulders, then the temples, forehead, top of the head and any other part of the head which hurts.
