Historical Uses:
This herb, known to contain a form of organic lithium, has been reintroduced into use this century, by renowned Amish herbalist Solomon Wickey, who used it to treat emotional torment and abnormal behavior.1 Cudweed has been used as a gargle in the treatment of swollen tonsils and ulceration of the throat and mouth.1,2 externally, it is said to be able to destroy head lice.1

Contraindications:
None.

Adverse reactions:
None.

Dosage:
10 to 40 drops three times per day after meals. For swollen tonsils, gargle with full strength extract each hour. For head lice, apply to scalp three times per day.
