Coltsfoot has long been employed in traditional medicine for dry cough, hoarseness and throat irritation.

The plant has found particular use in Chinese herbal medicine for the treatment of respiratory diseases including cough, asthma, acute and chronic bronchitis, chest infections and laryngitis.

Contraindications:
Avoid during pregnancy.
Adverse reactions:
Avoid excessive and long-term use. May cause allergic reactions and increase blood pressure in certain individuals.
Dosage:
10 to 40 drops three to four times per day.
