Historical Uses:
Cascara is one of the most commonly used medicinal plants. It has been employed as a laxative in the treatment of chronic or occasional constipation.

It increases the peristaltic action of the colon and produces a semi-solid stool in about 6 to 12 hours.

Contraindications:
Avoid during pregnancy and by breast feeding mother. Do not use this product if signs of appendicitis (nausea, vomiting, fever or abdominal pains) occur.
Adverse reactions:
Avoid excessive use and taking over prolonged periods.
Dosage:
Adults: 1 capsule daily in the morning or at bedtime. Children under 12 years old should consult a health practitioner.
