The holiday season being over, our digestive system may find itself engorged due to our ingestion of foods rich in saturated fats and sugar and to the consumption of alcohol. The following problems may occur: dysphagia, heartburn, flatulence, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation or rectal hemorrhage and with time, can affect the stomach, the intestine, the gallbladder and the pancreas.

According to my experience as a dietetics technician and to the numerous consultations done with clients, the key to success essentially begins with a good cleansing. I recommend a combination such as C.C.E.-W (#735) which cleanses the blood, the intestine and the nerves and is considered a real corrective; Black walnut (#325) with its antiseptic properties, which also eliminates parasites and is a good source of iodine for the regulation of the thyroid gland; and L.G.-W (#820), which enables the regulation of the liver, and the gallbladder. The liver is one of the largest internal organ and the most important. It functions like the chemical shop of our body and regulates the levels and concentrations of most chemical substances in the blood. Finally, verify if a laxative is necessary. As for me, I tend to specify that it is important to have a good cleansing but it is as important to excrete toxins.

Nutrition plays a large role in our well being and so is exercise. However, one thing is vital. It is the need to drink six to eight glasses of water a day, particularly during a cleansing period. It will help eliminate toxins or impurities of our body.

Once our digestive system is well cleansed, it is important to strengthen our immune system and protect ourselves against infectious micro-organisms such as bacteria, viruses or fungi. A lack of protein, minerals or vitamins may render us more vulnerable to viral, bacterial or fungi infections. I recommend I.M.S. (#808), this plant combination is excellent to prevent and correct infections and has antibiotic properties.

In conclusion, proper nutrition, a cleansing period twice a year as well as an immuno-stimulant to build our immune system is the key to success. Health is something we need to preserve.

I wish to all of you, a very happy year 2000.
