Multiple Sclerosis

Did you know that there is presently an epidemic of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) through North America? Multiple Sclerosis is a disease that affects the nervous system. It is characterised by a degeneration of myelin's sheaths that surrounds the axons. The destruction of myelin's sheath that surrounds some nerves and/or the axons can cause a deceleration or a total interruption of electrical current in the central nervous system.

This disease can hit anybody but it has a tendency to affect more women and young adults. It has been noticed that there are an increase number of cases in Northern (cold temperature) countries. MS can cause disorders such as balance problems, sight troubles, elocution difficulties, extreme tiredness, and even paralysis.

Causes for this disease could be mixed, it could be viral, genetic and autoimmune, meaning that the body destroys itself, its myelin's sheaths. The immune system attacks the cerebral tissues and the spinal cord of its host. It is thus an autoimmune disease, which involves a progressive degeneration of the neurological functions. Research in this field is difficult, because there is not a morbid gene, but a combination of genes that could be involved.

Here are a few causes that are presently under study.

"The existence of a retrovirus?"
Researchers think that there could be a genetic predisposition and that a retrovirus apparition could start the disease. The existence of a retrovirus is a possibility, it is the object of investigation, but in such circumstance it would not have traditional contagion as for the AIDS virus. The retroviruses are like time bombs and an external factor such as stress, traumatism, poor diet, viral infection like measles, vaccine, hepatitis B, etc., is often enough to trigger these retroviruses.

"Herpes Virus?"
American scientists believe they have highlighted a connection between the herpes virus and Multiple Sclerosis. During a study, the researchers noted an increase in the immunising response to the herpes virus 6 (HHV-6) of more than 70% of the victims of MS. The people infected were all affected by the recurring form of the disease, characterised by cycles of aggravation and remission.

"B Hepatitis vaccination?"
In France, several cases of Multiple Sclerosis were reported in the weeks following a vaccination against B hepatitis. The researchers are checking if there is a statistical relation between the occurrence of certain cases of MS and vaccination against B hepatitis. They are actually carrying out researches to determine if vaccination against B hepatitis increases the risk of MS?

"Oiseaux de malheur?"
In the August 2002 magazine "Protégez-vous", an article entitled "Oiseaux de malheur?" reported about an epidemiological study, carried out by Dr. Parviz Ghadirian, professor of nutrition at the Montreal University and director of the epidemiological unit of research at the CHUM. This study concluded to an astonishing result: the canaries, mynah, budgies and other household birds could be one of the multiple causes for the MS.

It is believe that a virus carried by birds would act like a vector for Multiple Sclerosis. The researchers are increasingly certain that MS has its origin in an infectious agent present in our environment, a bacterium or a virus that would "race" the brain, thus putting out of order the immune system.

"ASPARTAME, a silent killer?"
Researchers declared during a world health conference: "If you are using Aspartame (Nutra Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, liquor diet, etc.) and are suffering from spasms, fibromyalgia symptoms, numbness in the legs, cramps, vertigo, headaches, nausea, tinnitus, articular pains, depressions, anxiety crisis, troubled vision, incoherent speech, or losses of memory, you probably have the Aspartame disease".

They reported that: "heavy diet soda drinkers have been diagnosed Multiple Sclerosis". The aspartame intoxication reproduces the MS symptoms, that is why, there is a lot of MS miss-diagnosis amongst people. When aspartame is eliminated from their diet, people that thought they were suffering of MS generally become asymptomatic.

They explained how intoxication with aspartame worsens Alzheimer disease, Parkinson's disease and could be particularly deadly for diabetics. There are 92 proven symptoms associated to aspartame. The major part of them are neurological, because aspartame destroys the nervous system.

The methanol contained in aspartame is transformed into formaldehyde. It is classified in the same group of drugs as cyanide and arsenic, deadly poisons! Unfortunately, it takes more time to really kill, but it kills and it causes all kinds of neurological disorders.

In spite of all, there might be good news!

According to researches, people who live in the cold countries are more prone to develop MS. A new study indicates that increasing the daily intake of Vitamin D could reduce the risk of developing Multiple Sclerosis. The effect of prolonged sunlight exposure from people living close to the equator, increase the production of vitamin D in their body. At this moment, it is one of multiple factors being studied that could offer a "protection" against MS.

Vitamin D can come not only from solar exposure, but also from food sources and vitamin supplements. In general, vitamin D helps the body to metabolise calcium.

Few recommendations

If you suspect the presence of a retrovirus or herpes virus or if you received the vaccine against B hepatitis, Sutherlandia Combination is highly recommended, because it has been proven effective in reinforcing the immune system, it also helps eliminate retroviruses. If you have a bird, it would be preferable to send it elsewhere for a certain period.

If you are a consumer of aspartame, stop using it as soon as possible. Read labels because it is present in more than 5000 products on the market today. It is highly recommend that you take good care of your diet and try to decrease your level of stress. Not to be neglect is emotional problems and tiredness.

We can find rich sources of vitamin D, other than the sun, in fish oils, sunflower oil and seeds and in some fatter fish like salmon, herring, sardine, rainbow trout, anchovies, mackerel, halibut, eel, tuna. The combination Vita-Lixir is a multivitamins supplement from vegetable source very rich in vitamin D.
